Orientation and Laptop Pick Up at LMHS: 7th-12th Grade

Orientation Schedule and Laptop Distribution for Grades 7-12

All students in grade 7 are invited to attend an orientation and laptop distribution night so that students will be able to familiarize themselves with our building as well as have everything set up and ready to go for their first day of classes.

All who attend should plan to enter through Doors 1 or 36 on the Market Avenue side of the building, or Doors 9 or 22 if you are entering off of King Church. All students should be sure to have their online forms completed prior to coming in for the orientation and to pick up their laptops.

All students in grades 8 through 12 will have the opportunity to pick up their laptops and schedules on the designated days and times.

Wednesday, August 13

Grades 10-12 (Last names A-M) 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. - Cafeteria Laptop and schedule distribution. Instructions will be provided for students to set up their laptops on their own before they leave the building. Additional help will be available in select classrooms. ** Final Forms should be completed and any outstanding fees should be paid prior to attending.

Career Tech (CTE) Orientation Meetings (Virtual)

5:00 p.m. – Junior CTE students and parents

6:00 p.m. – Senior CTE students and parents

Grade 7 Orientation – 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Each group should initially report to the Performing Arts Hall for a brief program. Laptop and schedule distribution will then take place in the cafeteria, followed with a stop in select classrooms for specific instructions and guidance for setting up their devices. Students will also sign off on their Final Forms as part of the set-up process. ** Parents should be sure to complete Final Forms prior to attending.

- 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Last names A through M

- 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Last names N through Z

** Make-up time for all students in grades 7, 10, 11, and 12 who have not yet picked up their laptops.

Grades 8 and 9 laptop distribution – 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Cafeteria Laptop and schedule distribution.

** Makeup time for students in grades 7, 10, 11, and 12 to pick up laptops.

 

Friday, August 15 – 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Make up time for all students who still need to pick up laptops.

** Final Forms should be completed and any outstanding fees should be paid prior to attending.

** Students in every grade level are encouraged to come into the building to walk their schedules, try their lockers, and get comfortable with our facilities prior to the first day of school anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
